Senior Vice President
Michael is a Senior Vice President in Reilly Partners' Chicago office. He joined the firm in 2010.
Michael has wide functional expertise developed across numerous industries. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Academic Approach, a high tier test preparation company that offers services through physical store locations and online courseware. During his time at Academic Approach, Michael executed major hires for the firm across technology, marketing, and business development divisions; he also originated compensation models for regional office heads and executive team members. In addition to acquiring and managing talent, Michael's responsibilities included sourcing venture funding, managing investor relations, implementing operational procedures, designing the company's online courses, handling legal matters, locating institutional clients, developing strategic partnerships, and creating marketing strategies / materials.
Prior to Academic Approach, Michael worked in the entertainment business at AEG Live, the nation's second largest concert promotion company, identifying venue acquisition and joint venture opportunities. He also managed multiple projects at Cognitive Arts, an early stage corporate training company that developed educational learn-by-doing computer simulations for various levels of personnel at Fortune 1000 Companies. Michael brings real estate experience as well from his tenure at HIGroup LLC, a boutique private equity / capital markets firm in Chicago.
He sits on the board of Chicago Metro AEYC, an organization that delivers accreditation and practice services to early childhood providers in the Chicago area.
Michael received his B.A. with honors from Williams College and holds an MBA from Northwestern University (Kellogg).
